Rent increases - Perth
Just thought I would share this......
We rented for 5 years, lovely house, great location 4/5 bedrooms over looking a park and lakes with a fountain.... all very nice, but we couldn't afford to buy a property like that.
The rent went up each year..... started at $475 per week and steadily climbed until when we moved out 2 years ago, when they were asking $650 per week.
Just spotted it on realestate.com...... Now $820 per week!
So, So glad we got away from renting and brought our own place.

Yup, Perth rents are shooting up amongst friends.
Our for the last 18 months has been $600, the owners now want $750.
I move into my own place on Monday.

4 years ago, I could get the Accor hotel in Northbridge for $130/night. Now no chance less than $300/night!
