Just got a seamail parcel
Eight days after it was posted! I am guessing some chucked it in the airmail bag by mistake. Pretty good going. Now I have Christmas presents way early that I can't open lol.

I think this must be quite a common occurrence - last year 3 parcels handed in at the same time all similar weights all ocean freight, 2 of the 3 arrived 10 days later.

Yet the parcel that was sent airmail by my MIL to my daughter last year, completely correctly addressed and stamped, took 3 months to arrive. This year she sent both the kids' parcels 4 months in advance bless her, and they arrived in 7 days!

Yep, there is no rhyme or reason to it. Funnily enough my mum is all angry that it got here so quick. She had other things she was going to send airmail to make sure they got here in time.
