There is no doubt that womens rights in Afghanistan have suffered, especially since the Taliban took power. Religion has always been used as an excuse to undermine and dominate a section of society. Christians have done so for 2 millenia. It is the power hungry and the manipulators of religion that are to blame.

Thats why I hate all religions equally.
There is no need for any religion in modern day society.
Its backward and causes nothing but suffering.
What do these religious types do with their lives? I say sit them down and watch the Discovery channel!
Its like gang warfare,
Catholics hate protestants
Jews hate christians
Muslims hate everyone. etc etc.
