applying for a canberra job and have just been told i need to supply referee reports at interview. No idea what should be in them. how on earth to get them done when people are away on summer holidays in the UK!

I work in HR in Canberra - you may want to go back to them most places have a questionnaire that your referees complete. I was asked to get my referee reports prior to interview as they were based in the UK and presumed it would be easier for me to get in contact with them. I presume that is why they want you to do it! Good luck!
