Just had a quote for container and it's been changed to a refer!
What's the difference?
Are there any advantages/disadvantages??
Thanks in advance

The sizes http://www.rock-itcargo.com/container_sizes.html
a refer...is an ex - 'refrigation' container. Smaller to allow for the workings and insulation etc.. 27m3 compared to 33m3.

Don't use a reefer your stuff could end up smelling like Grimsby docks if you know what I mean

When you going? We've got Crown coming on 2nd Jan.
Where are you upto with the old house selling shenanigans?
Ian.

we had refer and things arrived with no mould or mildew. I'm sure I read somewhere that they were better in relation to this due to type of insulation or something.

Put 'em in a air-tight tin and pack it with coffee, nobody will ever know.
Oh, "Refer" ...

Reefer
We used one. Brilliant and everything fitted in from a large 3 bed house with full loft and three full shed/workshops. Still kicking ourselves we didn't bring the concrete mixer but never mind. There is less likelihood of rust or damage (supposedly) as food is normally carried.
Whatever you go for, remember that when the container arrives and before they start loading it, to ask one of the guys to take you inside and shut the doors so you can see for yourself there are no holes anywhere.

If they dont cover the slats, the bases of your furniture /feet etc can be damaged. I can remember spending 1/2 an hour trying to get a washing machine foot out of floor slats, reefers are just a cheap option the companies hire them for bugga all....so as to relocate them back to the food exporting countries...................
