Default Reduced hours at work...now bored!!!

Well after 9 mths of working an average of 61 hrs per week, I've reduced my hours to just 21 per week. My reasons for this......well we've now done and paid for the visa, so we can chill out for a bit. However I'm bored! The only thing to do is to clean the house (done) get it ready for viewings (done) go to the gym (done) and surf the net (done). How can I constructively fill my time before we head back to aus? Any ideas on hobbies?

Yes ...

Can you tie up the loose ends on our house sale, sort the packers out, organise the leaving bash including posting invites, research and report back in detail on every suburb in Perth, pick the kids up from Nursery and have a medium well ribeye, chunky chips and onion rings ready for 5.30pm tonight ?

...

Thanks

...

When you've done that, the garage needs clearing out.

Three Legs
will pick up kids from nursery after I've collected mine from school (2 different ones), packers and shippers (done), leaving party (not bothering), Perth (not bothering), dinner tonight (Nando's in Colchester), sandwiches and school uniforms for tomorrow (husband doing), garage (can't be arsed but still bored)!

I have just reduced my hours too ....this is the first week so everything is a bit of a novelty at the moment.....still have lots of cleaning to do but im too busy with shopping and BE.

But i am going to learn to sew....i already have a machine which my sister gave me last week, i even had a free lesson from her to show me how to thread the bloody thing. I have bought the material and i will be making for Vivien Westwood before you know it

BTW.....my first item will be a halloween outfit :scared: At least it will be dark when she goes out trick and treating

ping ponging cos we can't make up mind! theres good and bad in both countries. Financially the UK is top of list, free healthcare, good education low food prices. For things to do and 'family' time then it has to be aus. Visa, we were on a temp one and didn't like the companies restrictions + extra cost. We were what you would call 'trapped' by recruitment sharks (the woman involved has since been sacked by the company). Came back to sell house and apply for PR which we've now got. We love the UK, especially as we live in a fab and beautiful area. I'd never say aus will be forever, don't want to put any pressure on ourselves to 'have' to like somewhere. Leaving options open!

Its a female thing, you need charm, you've got to be good at your job (as they don't want to lose you completely) and a low cut top helps (I know very shallow). doesn't work so well if boss is shallow. If thats the case you use your manipulative side, say your tired need to spend time with the children, pull on the heartstrings a bit.

Oy! get your eyes off my cleavage. How did you know

Offer to help out at children's school.. Get some voluntary work in local charity shop - probably loads of things but you have to really want to

***UPDATE***

I've just been into my boss looking for a reduction in hours with my shirt unbuttoned down to my navel, showing flesh ...

Thanks to you she has now threatened to leave her husband and has suggested we elope to Gretna.

She is 58 and droopy all over.

The term Spaniels Ears could never be more apt.

Thanks.

What a lovely image I have of you now! I highly recommend you wear a very short skirt and fishnets! You'll have your hours reduced alright, in fact you'll have more than enough time on your hands!

Female boss? You have to go the sympathy route. Talk about the kiddies, cry a little, describe your non existant and stressful relationship with husband and kids!

By the way i like the idea about sewing. It would be a novalty to me tho. Shaefully I don't even sew up the tears and rips on their school uniforms! Either my sister does it with her 'magic patch things' or I buy new ones!
