There's a lot of debate about where to put the freeway, as the burb of Conolley is nearby, but I think it is due to go up to Butler and that it will happen after the planned Southern extension. One of the posters made an interesting point about not being able to go out East to Midland from the Northern Burbs and that is a problem, but consider the fact that many of the burbs were much smaller 10 years ago and it takes time to put in infrastructure - a rail cut to the east would need a lot of consultation.
Perth might not be that great for single people wanting to go out somewhere different each night, but it offers a lot for young and growing families and has a lovely laid back feel to it. It certainly is growing on me.
Lake Joondalup Baptist School is a great primary to secondary school. Well behaved kids, good results and lets in a huge number of non-Christians.

Well, at first I thought that the Aussies weren't that friendly (bad experience with neighbours) but I'm starting to make quite a few Aussie friends. They are "shy" at first, which I interpreted as being "distant" but they are much friendlier once they get to know you. They also seem to be much less hung up on clothes, holidays, houses and such.

That's on my to-do-list! Funnily enough, when I was in the Uk I imagined I'd be out there doing loads of exercise but I have done hardly any since getting here, when it's 40 plus you don't even want to walk to collect the kids from school.

That should leave about a couple of thousand cars on the road as the drivers are so crap here.
