im getting fed up having to ask for my petrol receipts at servos
the worst for it are the chinese
if I buy a 50c pencil at the newsagent they give me one so why do I have to ask when I spend 90 bucks on fuel.
I suspect their selling the ones they dont give out for gst back value
is this just queensland or all over?

I always get asked - I like that they don't automatically print it if you don't want it, saves a small tree a week I imagine!
I doubt it's anything dodgy - but maybe it is!

I always ask for a receipt if I'm getting diesel in case the fuel is tainted and I need to claim.

Every time I fill up I'm always asked if I want a receipt. I always say no, but I can't ever remember not being asked.

Seems to just be the luck of the draw, I used to be asked at times and not at other times.

All of the supermarkets around here are now asking if you want a receipt, in that they are trying to save money (not the planet) by not printing one.
That's okay until you are suspected of shoplifting. No recepit, no easy proof.

A 90 dollar receipt is worth 9 dollars cash for someone registered for gst
and with no name or reg number anyone can use it,
and a little bit more when its taken off your profits.

I always ask for a receipt and check that the amount printed on the receipt is the same as I was charged at the point of sale.
That's what a receipt is for, to prove your end of the contract to purchase and prove that you paid for the goods you obtained.
Do you want a receipt ?..............yer damn right I do !
