RAC/ AA cards
Hi all
Just a quick message of advice for anyone heading over here soon, remember to bring your old AA or RAC card with you.
Don't know if it is the same in all states, but when you join the RACQ in QLD they will carry over your years of membership & benefits (even if you were with the AA). This will give you discounted insurance etc.
We cut all our old cards up before we came out here and then had to e-mail the RAC in the UK to get all our membership details. Luckily RAC in the UK helped out and when we sent the details to RACQ they sent us a cheque refund back!
Just another thing to add to your list of things to bring with you!
Cheers

AA doesn't work in NZ anymore
Since the AA in the UK got bought out by whoever it was (gas company that specialised in electricity transmission or something . . .) the NZ AA won't play ball any more.
They do not reciprocate UK AA member benefits. This is specifically stated in their documentation - reason being non-reciprocation of NZ member benefits in UK.
