Default A question for the electricians

What is the usual current rating for a ceiling light? Would a chandelier with 21 15w globes be out of order? (Only 1.3A by my calculation). Thanks.

Your calculation is right, but it depends on what else is on that circuit and also what cable you have. A circuit in Australia is usually 10 amps.

You would be best getting someone in to check it out before you fit it.

Unless you've got loads of other lights on the same circuit you'll be fine.
