Hi my name is Shelley and my OH is Paul we have applied for our Visa 175 back in February 2008.

We were originally looking at NSW (Point Clare/Erina/Terrigal) area as we went there last year to have a look round, so I have done quite a bit of research in these areas. But now Paul has said he would like to give Cairns ago.

We have never been so please could someone give us some feed back with regards to the following.

Jobs - Paul's an Electrician and I work in Accounts (assist Financial Controller)
Is there much work in Cairns for this.

Housing - I have looked on the Real Estate site but I have no idea what the towns are like?

Cost of Living - is this similar to NSW?
