We can always have another one in April/May - hopefully you can then make that one.
Have a good time anyway. Happy house hunting.

This sounds like a good idea, we are interested in meeting up if we can get baby sitters. It would be good to talk to others who are going through the same experiences.
How far is everyone with there visa application?

Hi Marie & David
I have tried to find a website for the pub but can't seem to find one. I found a parents guide to pubs which mentions this one, so presumably you can take them in. You can normally take kids in pubs before 9-9.30pm (in most pubs anyway) so as we are meeting 7ish you should be OK. It is Easter holidays too so they can stay up a bit later!!!
Hope to see you there.

What job do you do?
How old are your children?
Have you sold your house or will you have to wait for that to sell?
We sold in October and moved into rented - just need to pack up and go when the man from immigration he say yes!!!! (Also, we have to wait until after Andrew (our son) has done GCSE's in June)

I thought you got a year to validate your visa or is that not correct?

You have a year to validate or you have to validate before your police checks or medicals expire, whichever is sooner. Both your police checks and medicals are valid for 12 months.
I work in IT but my wife was the primary applicant, she is a primary school teacher. We have two boys, much younger at 5 and 3.
House is up for sale soon so keeping fingers crossed.

Hello All
We too would love to come and meet some like minded people and discuss what its been like for you all. My wife (Fiona) myself (Adam) and our 18mth old daughter (Edie) are all heading off to Brisbane end of this year hopefully. All visas in place just need to sell the house. We have all been to Oz a couple of times so might be able to answer some questions for those that havn't and hopefully get some new hints and tips as well.
Looking forward to it
Adam
