Cool Re: Queensland Ambulance Service

Hi

When I phoned QAS, they suggested I should "hop on a plane" for an interview, as they were nowhere near setting a date for a uk visit.

The thought being that most people would be over at some point on a holiday/factfinding tour and they could visit QAS for an interview. They just asked for a bit of notice to put a panel together.

Hope this helps.

This is exactly what I did! I had my interview at Kedron in Brisbane in December last year & I fly out tomorrow to start my course on Sept 1st. I have found that it is actually quicker to do it the way I did as I have 'leapfrogged' a few people from my service who had their interviews in the UK last year. Just make sure you take all your qualifications, certificates etc with you, it speeds up the process considerably.

I was beginning to think I was the only one on that September course. Glad to know someone else will be there. Are you staying at the Bardon Centre or travelling from home?

Hi, I'll be staying at Bardon 'cos I'll be living in Yeppoon which is an eight hour drive away! Got to be at the airport in 3 hours, starting to get nervous now! See you a week Monday!

Looking at either Feb or April course. Not sure yet which one. Decisions decisions!
