QLD Driving Licence eyesight standard
Has anyone passed the Driving licence Eyesight test with defective vision?
I have defective (uncorrectable) vision in my left eye, right eye is A1.
I can see out of my left but it's V. Blurred.
Panicing a bit as it would appear it may be a problem..........it's not as tho' we've spent the last 15 months in limbo and spent many £££££££ on this bloody Visa after all!!!!!!!!!!!! D'oh!!
Cheers all.

A Polish immigrant went to the transport department to apply for a driver's license. First, of course, he had to take an eye sight test. The optician showed him a card with the letters:
'C Z W I X N O S T A C Z.'
"Can you read this?" the optician asked.
"Read it?" the Polish guy replied, "I know the guy."

Re: QLD Driving Licence eyesight standard
For QLD driving you need to perceive diatances as longer than they actually are so that you can drive 100Kmh at 10 feet from the car in front.
It is prefereable that you do not have rear vision so that you don't move out of the fast lane when you are tootling along at 70kMh with a car coming up behind while there are four empty lanes to your left.
It is also advisable to have blind spots on left and right sides so that you can weave through traffic across all lanes.

Guy at work drives with only one eye (other removed through melanoma - gotta watch that sun). He has no problems though he won't drive in the dark as he can't judge the distances too well.
