Hmmmmmm ok then, not terribly close to Brisbane CBD if you need to commute is my only comment .
Gold Coasters may be able to shed more light.

Bonogin is being developed as acreage properties in the Gold Coast hinterland.
Roads are typical for hilly , low populated areas and this needs to be considered. It is great to live in the hinterland, however, can emergency services easily get to your house in the event of bush-fires? Do you have children and will be spending more time in the car travelling to get them to play sports, go to parties etc?
How good are you at conserving water? You will have a tank.
Are you happy not to receive free to air TV? When I last read in the paper, they do not get TV as it is in a black-spot.
Maudsland gives a similar feel. There you get town water, roads are being better developed, close to the M1 and soon Helensvale shopping centre will be completed - October 13 2005.
