I'm now thinking buy in Oz. Have since done a search on household appliances & there didn't seem to be that much price difference. Very good point from spottydog, I hadn't thought of the extended warranty, which I'd definately need (our washer is used daily!) Luma, about the import duties, I wasn't aware of this, how do they know if your items are under 1yr? Leigh |

What about furniture and kids toys? We were going leave settee but taking all kids toys, are they cheap over in oz?

Also extended warrenties are valid over here from some places, our telly was still under warrenty and we had it repaired here. Our Curries warrently covered it although we had to pay first and then get a refund.
