They came to our house and went through the items piece by piece. I wasn't sure that any of the shippers would come to our house but each time I've spoken to them on the phone to arrange the visit I've said we thought it would be a groupage shipment but they've still come out...I think we live quite near to a few of them though so maybe that's why. The estimator that came to our house seemed really on the ball, but when we got the quote (prepared by someone else) there was stuff on there that we had said wasn't coming so I wonder if they misread the first person's notes. We're trying to contact them now to see if they can re-estimate.

perhaps someone going to Perth has room in their container for your few items?
I'm sure you could strike a deal - I would have room but my stuff is going to Adelaide.

If there is anyone I would certainly be interested to hear from them. We are very flexible about dates as the stuff we're shipping is just personal stuff, not the bits and pieces we need for day to day living.
