Default Private pension

Just a bit of news, may not be new, i dont know.
My hubby asked the company which his super-an. is paid into if he can have his private gas board pension put in there. When looking into this, they said he would pay 40% tax.
She has just got back to us and said there is a way to transfer it over here, without paying tax.
Apparently they can set up a BT fund, the company here that is.
And no tax is paid, any more info on this, does any one else know.

I think the change is that a "Qualifying" super fund is exempt whereas non qualifying the tax is payable.
