Pre school ? (gold coast)

Pre school ? (gold coast)
Hi there, we are hoping to be on the Gold Coast in September and have started looking in to how we go about getting our daughter in to a pre school.
We have relatives that have sent us a couple of links we've had a look at:
www.education.qld.gov.au/etrf/faq-prep.html
http://www.education.qld.gov.au/stra...hildhood/faqs/
After having a look we're still really none the wiser.
Our daughter is 4 in August so it looks like she qualifies for pre school from Jan 06.
Does anyone know how far in advance we need to put her on the waiting list?
Also, we will initially be living in Runaway Bay with other relatives in Labrador so we need a pre school somewhere around these areas.
Does anyone have children at pre school/year1 in around these areas?
Can anyone recommend a pre school around these areas?
We have thought about putting her in a private nursery as this would mean we can be more flexible with our working hours as to start with we're both planning on working full time, but on the other hand, Libby only goes to nursery 5 half days a week now and it may be too much for her to be out all day.
For this reason we think pre school is our best option with willing relatives child minding around our work needs.
Any answers, comments or advice would be greatly appreciated and rewarded with karma

My mum in law let us know last year (about August I think) that the local Kindys & preschool around Southport on the GC were inviting applications then as we were investigating it all for our son Jonah.... as far as we understand they do the "intake" 12 to 18 months before the child is due in school..........
