You can still be thrown clear.... leaving the bike to make it's way through the windshield of the car.......

It's a risk you accept though...you are always more vulnerable on a bike, but it's a trade off against the sheer adrenalin you get from riding a bike.....no car can match it.....an £8000 standard roadbike can make mincemeat of the highest spec road car you can ever buy.....
