Sadly ignoring the fact the lack of people on the flight will get the return leg cancelled and you stuck high and dry in some kip of an airport.

Has anyone else noticed the "the grip master" seems to create these threads and then never has anything else to say on them.

PR=Permanent Residency
@Sue
This poll is intended to find out how the people see foreigners coming to Australia. Julia Gillard is a foreigner herself.

2 thumbs up! Yes, I am an immigrant myself. And I entered Australia after getting PR (offshore application). And a very premature conclusion of what my intentions are.
@hollykimalan
Wow! People googling my handle. I am in the limelight now!
@Zambia
Another premature comment. In life, there is always a victim. The reason you have a job is the exact reason why another person is unemployed.
@mandymcqueen
Yes. And now I have proved you are wrong. :P
And now, my story...
I moved here on PR visa last year. The reason I left my country to sell my skills to another country was because I wanted a better standard of living. More and more people are arriving here (as refugees, migrants, students who have the intention of applying for PR on fake professions, the list continues) but I don't see any comparative expansion in infrastructure. The transport system is getting chaotic and soon other things will follow. It seems things are getting exactly similar to my country of origin, where the same problems exist, the reason I left.
As long as there is enough resources to support the increasing number of people, I would vote yes for PR. Also, I have come across many unqualified people who somehow managed to get PR, they don't deserve it. If they can't contribute, they are worse than cancer in the society.
Lastly, what I would like to say is, the rules for getting PR is exploitable, and many unqualified people are exploiting these to get an entry. And this really pisses me off. Rules should be made more stringent and more background checks should be made.

It took me three years, a load of cash and a handfull of hoops to jump through to get my PR.
And why are you so angry about it?
Would you have exploited it if needed to get your 'foot in the door'? I would have

I think the poll's suggestion is outrageous and silly. Lots of people live on Puerto Rico. What are they going to do if we stop PR? And where is Bacardi going to come from?
So basically what you're saying is that everything was working fine until you showed up?

How dare you sir, I am British and I play by the rules and ...where are all those people in that queue going????"
