Well to update on Nic.
Ortho (pedic, but now closer to being an Aussie so gotta abbreviate ...
) today was happy with Nic's ankle so no pinning needed ... 
Put her in a nice pink cast and is happy to see her in 5 weeks to have it off! ... 
I popped into the Immigration building to pick up the much wanted visa's:
and the most relevant bit:
Not 100% clear so will spell it out:
'Holder permitted to remain in Australia indefinitely'
Makes it all worthwhile to read that! ...
