Default Power Station Operator

Anyone know any good places to look for work in this area? I've looked on Seek and Careerone and applied for a couple that I found but there doesn't seem to be that many positions on these 2 sites for this kind of work.

Who are the main electricity generation companies in Oz? What are the main Power Stations in Oz? I currently work in a coal fired station but could work in any power station really.

Kind Regards

John

This may appear a rude question.... do you have a visa/citizenship to work in Oz?... Your trade is fairly unique and so I wondered?

Doesn't appear rude at all, thanks for all the links I'll check them out when I get up tomorrow. I don't have a visa or citizenship yet, I was in the process of applying just as the SoL's got pulled earlier in the year and have been thinking about migrating for a long time now as my joining date for this site would suggest. I'm thinking of making some enquiries about the possibilty of sponsorship due to my trade skills being omitted from the new Sch 3 SoL but thought that the power industry may offer some possibilities.

Thanks again for the links.

Cheers

John

Looked through the links thanks again for posting them, none of the companies seem to be recruiting for many positions at the moment. I'll keep looking.

Anyone else got any more info.

Cheers

John

MartinLuther is an unknown quantity at this point

Not sure if this is any use to you but most of the power in Vic is generated in the LaTrobe valley. The 3 big power stations (4 if you consider Loy Lang as 2) are found there.

Have a look at this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...ns_in_Victoria
