power of attorney
Hi All,
Looks like we are not going to exchange before we leave for Aus (sale is 99% guaranteed though, they've already given us some £££ privately).
Anyway, we are signing over private attorney to my dad, but have had really misleading and communication when looking into how to do it.
We only need it for the property sale, so a 'specific' document is required, rather than general or enduring.
Does anyone have any experience of this? Do you have to get a solicitor? Is there anywhere to get free documents, we can only find ones you pay to download?

when my mum signed power of attorney over her affairs to me, it cost her about £45 ... not bad for peace of mind.
ring round some solicitors and get quotes ... or try the law society or your local CAB for details of who else could do it for you.

Thank you for your replies.
Irritatingly, our property solicitor refuses to do it, which is quite annoying.
Still finding the £5 downloadable forms attractive, but just don't know if they're legally valid etc.
