Sterling is pegged to the US dollar, the US is bankcrupt, they hold the global economy by the balls, the US is blowing up China with its loose monetry policy, when China pops, Oz will go wham bam thankyou very much Ben Benanke, the debts the US owes will either be defaulted on or just.................but they cannot be paid back, i would rather owe the dosh, but would not want to be owed the dosh, me thinks China is in a real pickle, never be a lender to a bad borrower who is morally bankcrupt!

China and Oz have a high inflation, high interest rates attracting hot money, this is blowing and blowing until it cannot be blown any more, a bit like an old jonny..............................:thumb sup:

As you obviously can't spell bankrupt, I think your financial 'expertise' should be considered a bit suspect.

Also the "Sterling is pegged to the US dollar" is a giveaway too.

I think it is heading the other way.....within 3months I reckon the AUD will have risen approx 10% vs USD and 5% vs GBP.

1 GBP will buy approx AU$1.44
1 AUD will buy US$1.18

But what do I know anyway?

You certainly can sign up for it, by placing a buy order to trigger at that amount with your friendly FX agent. Very easy. Last time I did it through tranzfers and bought some AUD in late 2008 when the rate spiked, at approx 2.50.

ps - if you do get 1.43 then have a xmas pint for me.

What do I know as well, but I think we are at, or near, the peak for the AUD.

Either way, it's a great time to have, and earn, AUD.
