Default Postage Delays??

I know it's Christmas, but i sent some contract docuemtns to my new employer in Sydney using Royal Mail 'international signed for' service on the 6 Dec and they still haven't arrived yet? Seems a long time to me. Any thoughts?

My thought is that important documents should never be entrusted to any kind of Royal Mail service. You may find they're only able to track it as far as the airport in the UK (about as useful as a chocolate teapot).

There have been plenty of Royal Mail horror stories on this forum in the last year. Any kind of document that is urgently required at the other end, or is a major hassle to replace, needs to be sent by a reliable courier service. Nothing is risk free, but this does reduce the risk of disappearance substantially and reputable courier firms will pull out the stops to find a lost package. Having *door-to-door* tracking helps a lot.

I sent some teaching application docs to my mother on the 22nd November. Hadn't arrived by 13th December so went and sent another lot. Both arrived on the same day a week later!

Bizarre!

I have send my PCC and other documents on 11-Dec-2004 and found it is still lying in Sydney, the website says

"Received and awaiting clearance for delivery"

It has to reach ASPC on or before 20th Dec, I am worried :scared:
