We received an e-amil from LCU saying that all 4 medicals were finalised on the 2nd Feb and being assessed by the MCO, on the 13th Feb.

We had an e-mail from co this morning saying that the main applicants`medical had not been cleared by the health authority.

Does anyone know what this means exactly. Is this an automatic visa refusal and do we have the right to an appeal? We are 136 skilled independent MODL.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated as we are really fearing the worse now.
I just think that u redo the main applicant's medical

Mashy - I would ring the centre where you had your medical done and ask them to clarify what the query could be. I have heard a few people having to have an additional specialist report done but I have not heard of anyone being refused a visa on medical grounds. Has this happened to anyone out there? A friend of mine had to attend a clinic for a TB check on arrival in Oz and that was the end of that.

Good Luck - you are not down and out yet!

Sue

FFS HOW MUCH LONGER!

Got an e-mail from my case officer saying that all but the main applicants medicals have been processed. It said for me to get in touch with LCU to see if it has not been put in the system as they have not had the info from them.

Surely it should be my case officers job to get in touch with LCU and not me! My case officer has only got any info from LCU through me and he is still asking me to get LCU to clarify things.

Sorry to rant, but this is getting beyond a frigging joke!

how frustrating for you- what is going on- do you have an agent or have you done it alone. i agree surely it shouldn't be your job to do all the running around- they seem to be e-mailing you a lot lately so something must be happening- is this another day of waiting for you . I'm on the edge of my seat for you so you must be really****** off. I'm even going on the computer early to hear your news - come on oz sort it out

No we haven`t used an agent.

In short. LCU say that hubby`s medical has been processed so contact Case Officer. Case Officer says we haven`t received it contact LCU.

Maybe I should be thinking of going to Adelaide or Sydney instead of Tasmania and getting a bloody job at either DIMIA or LCU.

Frustrating is an understatement! With my head the way it is at the moment, the name Mashy suits me well!
