yes ,how far is newcastle from port stephens ? 40 mins . we live just outside Bristol, u can b sat in traffic jam for 30 mins!! so no worries. As for newcastle every time i go there it seems shut, bit of a ghost time as The Specials would say.

Port Stephens is my favourite place in Australia - absolutely LOVE IT ... agree with above though... you'd prob end up having to drive to Newcastle for work

I live in Medowie and work in Newcastle. I drive to Stockton and get the ferry over. Takes me 23 mins to ferry from here and 5 mins to the wharf. Newcastle is a bit of a ghost town but I think it is on the brink of being invested in and has great potential. Depending on where you lived in PS, you would need to add 20 to 30 mins to my 23 mins. I love Port Stephens but I hate the fact that there is only 1 way in and 1 way out. Boring drive but small price to pay for living somewhere so lovely. What line of work are you in?
