Smile Port Macquarrie??

Will be moving out to Oz from Camberley Surrey by end of Jan hopefully and still not 100% where to live. Have visited most places over 7 trips and definately know it's got to be NSW/Queensland. Port Macquarrie has always sounded great but unfortunately one of the places we didn't get to visit. Where do the over 50s who love life, love going out having a drink/ love motorbikes/golf??? If we are going to make this move just have to be very near beaches and where it al happens. Any advise very much appreciated

We liked Port, it's our closest 'beach' although we live about 3 hours inland. Can only suggest when you land you take some time and go up the coast visiting all the coastal places between Port and Coffs there were some nice places we visited. We took about 3/4 weeks to find somewhere that 'felt' right, travelling and stopping off whenever we wanted from places we'd found on internet or visited before. We did parts of NSW and Qld as well.

The bowling clubs seem a good place for those wanting to meet others, they do lovely meals and you don't have to be a member at very good prices, least you'd meet up with likeminded people to get lots of views on an area.

Have fun doing it, we enjoyed spending the time finding somewhere and good luck with the move
