Default Pool maintenance?

Moving to brisbane in June. Going mad at the moment looking at houses in various suburbs on the net. I suppose like most poms, we'd love a pool.
Any idea on what kind of maintennace is required and how much this costs?

cheers...

depends very much on the type of pool really.
We have a salt water/ chlorinated one. Basically i just net the leaves out when needed and take a sample down to the pool shop to be tested every couple of weeks or so, they then tell me what i need. You can buy kits to use, but its just something else for me to have to learn at the moment and i don't quite trust myself without someone holding my hand.

The filter and solar and chlorinater all work on a timer together, so no work there.

Basically once all your levels are ok its about 1/2 hr per week max (on=h and we do have a barracuda which does the hoovering for us)

Go for it, its great!

Have a look at these two previous threads

They give an idea of electric costs for running a pool.

Chewed them off in anger after you blew up the pump and buggered up the chlorinator.
