Dear all,
Is it true that NZIS is going to take their passing score to 26 or even higher and to limit immigrants? Any idea.
To apply for a work visa should one have 2 years minimum experience??

I doubt it.
The NZ government has a desire to increase the number of skilled migrants.
The population is under 4 million and they see this a barrier to getting back into the top ten developed countries.
The passmark dropped to 24 (I think) to encourage more migrants but they put it back up to to 25 as there was a large increase in returning kiwis and new migrants after sept 11. This is now tailing off and the govt still wants to attract skilled migrants. They are even putting special schemes in place to attract migrants to areas other than Auckland.
