Well, all my wordly goods are now in NZ - hubby, dog and all my stuff!

Crown delivered then all safe and well - no breakages that I can see although it hasn't all been unwrapped yet. Not one of the boxes has a dents in and none were opened by MAF either. Customs didn't spot the ginormous bottle of vodka I smuggled through. Mind you, we didn't ship any major big items of furniture and I would expect they might get corbers knocked more easily

It was great seeing all my familiar things coming out of the boxes and I did have a little sob over a stupid soft fish that lives in my bathroom - not through homesickness (I was waiting for that to hit but it didn't) but just that everything was HERE and I am HERE and my life is now HERE and it feels great to be HERE (does that make sense )

Re Crown: I would recommend them but just add that they are bit 'ditsy' at this end - I had to chase them about what was happening with my stuff to get it delivered within a couple of weeks of arrival at the port and then they were supposed to deliver at 9am - didn't show - at 10am I called and discovered they had to change the order of deliveries which meant they would be here at 11am

The guys themselves were great at both ends - nothing too much trouble, a great sense of humour and willing to put up with naughty dogs getting in the way all the time.

So all I need now is my own house to put it all in and I will be happy (for about 5 minutes until I think of something else I want) but as Whiskey quite rightly says these things take time and patience.

I already am! I have CLOTHES that give me a PROPER choice - not just green t-shirt or blue t-shirt today? Oh the green one needs washing so that's easy then! And our sock crisis is over!

The dog is also very pleased to see that every single one of her 10 (yes TEN) manky, chewed and split tennis balls arrived - the packers truely do pack everything not bolted down!

Anyone need about 5 billion hundredweight of paper?

Ours has arrived today too, but as we move into our new house next wednesday I'm desperately trying not to open the boxes....ok, I did have a peek in the shoe ones!
We used anglo pacific and they were great both ends BUT before thinking of using them I'd suggest doing a search for Pollyannas experiences with them - seems hit and miss (typing ***** ******** should get the threads up!)

I mentioned that our problems with Crown happened right at the end, regarding collection of boxes and paper.
We had so many boxes and so much paper it took up a whole room, in the end we put half of it outside.

Called Crown to collect and they said they'd let me know the day before so I could put it outside.

2 days later they collected without calling and so only got half of it. I rung and told them and it was "Aw mate we only do one collection. You'll have to get the garbo man to take the rest, or call the council."
It did end with them collecting, but they didn't admit it was their mistake.

Good luck getting rid of the paper!
