Sorry if this has been asked before.......
What aspects of plastering do they do in Oz (were coming to Brissie)? Plasterboarding / taping and jointing / rendering?
Also, is it day work or price per metre?
And what tools did you take over with you?
any advise is really appreciated
Chris

We've just had some plastering work done on our house that we are renovating and the plasterer taped and smoothed the joints, replaced coving and did corner joints for us too.
The plasterboard here is recessed for the tape and plaster so that once thas been done and smoothed the walls are ready for painting!!

The job was quoted on the amount we needed doing and not by the hour.
Hope this helps

Timber will tell you its all doom and gloom and everyone works for next to nothing.
Some companies offer price work and some offer daywork, I am currently getting paid $40.00 per hour for partitioning and ceilings, the setters as they are called out here get the same, jointers in the UK.
Price work is around but its not always easy to move around companies chasing it.
On price I have earnt upto $3000 per week but average closer to $2000 per week. Plenty of work and every week the are adverts asking for plasterboard fixers as they call them here or plasterers or setters.
