Default Plasterers and TRA

Is anyone on here a Plasterer that has had a successful TRA?

just getting my shit together but only have about 7 pages of A4 describing the job I do,will this be sufficient ?

Me, the Mrs and kids are hoping to get to Adelaide later in the year on a STNI.

I have done a full time on the job apprenteship of 3 years but didn't attend college.

Took 6 months out a couple of years later to gain my NVQ/City & Guilds via a 30+ hr per week course.

Worked 18 months for an agency as a Plasterer.

Worked 5 years for a building firm as a Plasterer.

Worked 5 years for myself (self employed) as a Plasterer.

What are my Chances ?

My friend is a plasterer and he got through ok, they`ve been living out in Perth since Sept 04. He even had no certificates for his work so had a few problems there...but he got through and there seems to be plenty of work too He has just started up on his own so the money is much better.

Good luck

Sue

Hi
My partner is a plasterer and we came on a skilled independant visa.
He didn't attend college and trained on the job.
We had to get detailed references from the time he started from who hes was working for stating what training he did, all tools used, it had to be really detailed and was definatley the harded part. We ended up writing the reference ourselves and then getting the company he worked for to put it on headed paper, it had to include dates of training, when he went on to do more detailed plastering, etc, also had to have Vat reg no on the company headed paper, contact phone numbers.
Make sure you give as much detail as you can, our agent sent our first draught back saying it wasn't detailed enough, maybe you could just get an agent to check yours before you send it to TRA, but yours maybe different as you went back to do NVQ.
Hope this maybe of some help
