looking at moving to hobart, please can we havesome info on areas around hobart, looking around the channell

Just about every house has a view, I like Hobart. Love Tasmania its such a pretty place and everything is close like the UK. Quite different to the mainland.

We moved out to Tassie last year and rented for 6 months in Blackman's Bay and have now bought a house in Margate, both nice places to live although our view was certainly a lot nice in BB as we could see the sea.

Expect to pay a heavy premium in order to have a sea view, as you would expect really. However, our present property does not have a sea view but is only 5 minutes from the water's edge and about 10 mins from a lovely quiet beach.

There are many lovely places around here and not everyone has the same taste but here are a few suburbs that I like:

Blackman's Bay
Howden
Conningham
Tinderbox
Kettering
Taroona

It also depends on where you are working and what you need ie schools, shops etc.

thanks for replying, these are all the areas we were sort of looking at, so great to hear we have it ok!

i have looked at taz thread but it is difficult to find what you want, too big really and i dont have the best patience
