So we have reached and I am trying to get the "Inifinite" Vodafone plan. I have been returned saying you do not have a job. The plan I am planning to get is the SIM only plan and has a month to month contract!!

Am I looking at the wrong places or this is the norm here?

I guess they don't want to give credit to a newly arrived before they are settled. Get a prepaid for a few months.

I don't know if this is normal, as I got a work phone and my OH waited a couple of months and then got a contract and he was already working. Still it makes sense.

There are some infinite options on Vodafone PAYG.

Also if you're going for that because of cheap calls to the UK, compare it to the vodafone 49 cap. I still find that cheaper for calling the UK.

I lied and pretended I had a job. Gave them a makey uppey company name and they processed it. It was after 5pm so they ask for a number to call to check. Not recommending this but its what I did. Plus, it was through a reseller, not a service provider shop. Think it was All phones.
