Default perth trip

My pregnant mrs and I will be arriving in Perth late on the evening of Oct 1st after finally managing to get a flight (what is going on with that weekend?they are like hens teeth!) Hope the weather is going to be kind to us for the three weeks that we are there! Any recommendations on cheap car rental or campervan hire?? We want to do some exploring as well as seeing the city! Any good recommendations????

Bayswater car rental http://www.bayswatercarrental.com.au/ used to be the cheapest, but not sure how they compare nowadays. I'm sure their prices used to be around the $12 a day mark.

Some friends hired a campervan from Kea http://www.keacampers.com/default.asp was pretty pricey, but did the job.

Otherwise a quick search on google will bring up loads of others such as Britz, Apollo etc.

I know Renth hired a campervan in March, not sure who from though, maybe he can give you some advice.

School holidays could be the reason.... and the weather will be damn fine... mid 25 and sunny every single day cos right in the middle of it is our wedding so it better bloody well be.

Yes baywater cheapest for car hire, and depending on what sort of site seeing you want it may be cheaper to stay in motels/cabins etc than hiring a campervan plus more creature comforts like a dunny.

i've never been to Perth, so it's very much Terra Incognita for me, but I keep hearing good things about it. I feel there's an invisible force tugging me to the west coast..........

Don't mind for the first week...... Thought it would be nice to stay somewhere close to the beach and not too far from the city so that we can have a good mix of both....... Whats Scarborough beach like??? How much are taxis from the airport to say Scarborough??
thanks in advance.....
