Depends really on haw far you want to be out of the city and how close to the ocean. I would recommend staying near the train line that way it is easy access to the city and only around 10 minutes from the sea.
Joondalup, Currambine, Edgewater and surrounding areas are good areas. It only take around 20 - 25 minutes to the city form there. A little more expensive (closer to the sea) are Hillarys, Kinross, Quinns, Mullalloo.

Hi Salonit,
We are also going to Perth for Christmas and New Year. We will be there from 15 Dec to 4 Jan. For the first part of our holiday we are staying in a beach house in Rockingham and will be spending New year (28 Dec onwards) at the Observation Rendezvous Hotel on Scarborough beach which is a good location from which to explore the Northern Suburbs. During our last visit we stayed at Sandcastles on Scarborough Beach which is a very nice appartment Complex and also handy for the burbs and the bus stop to the city. Both properties have websites for you to view the accomadation and book on line. What Dates will you be there?

Kind regards

Hi Solonit & Pockygoes,
We are planning on meeting up with a few other people who post on here who have already emmigrated to Perth. Perhaps we could all get together somewhere nice for those with the kids ie picnic or barbecue at kings park or Hillarys somethiing like that.

We are planning on moving to Perth within the next year or so. Hubby is working on an employee exchange but in the meantime we are applying for skilled designated area sponsorship as hubby has an aunt in South Oz.

Kind Regards

Sounds great to us, just let us know the dates & if we all coincide it would be great to get together - we can compare notes etc & get some tips from the people who have already made the move.

Let us know the arrangements. We have twin boys (aged 8) so a bbq or picnic sounds great.

Cheers pockygoes
