So, as it's the middle of winter and the traditional Aussie bbq is not always an option, I thought I would suggest some central drinks in Perth CBD for Thursday 7 August.

The venue is the Belgian Beer Cafe, 347 Murray Street, Perth from about 6pm onwards, just because I expect some/most attendees will work in the City, but if anyone wants to come along later then that's great too.

Hope to see some of you there...

Well a big thank you to everyone that came along last night - I thought it was a great night and wonderful to meet you all, and it was great to go to some new bars - just a shame the nurses weren't there for the young single men amongst us! (not me of course)

There will be another drink-up in September - date tba shortly.

That was a brilliant night last night (We hope Carnegies has recovered !).

Certainly was a great night and I'm looking forward to September already! (Although it was a shame the nurses were'nt there for us newbies who need a bit of TLC when starting out on the other side of the world!)

Although they probably won't see this, I also need to thank the ladies from The Salvation Army who fed and watered me at Gosnells train station whilst I waited for a taxi that never came. In case you are reading this ladies...rich teas are OK, but can you make it custard creams and bourbons next time?!
