Are you so Anglophile as to be totally ignorant to cities like Lisbon? One of my favourite top ten as it is and I'd rate it on a human level above the dreadful place London has become.
I quite you'll find the outrageous Perth eating out prices very well covered by me.
As for getting things wrong you are the champ. Gold medal.

What is been offered is outrageously good and stupid because next up we will all the other public services demanding more than what the going pay rise is.
Just to clarify, even though this should not have been offered, this is the deal. Its absolute greed to the highest level.
A 2.75 per cent pay increase as part of a package that also includes free bus travel and a one-off $1000 payment.

My concern is your state of mind coming to the realisation however reluctantly, that Sydney is not that interesting, according to locals, not friendly, not much to do, but comes with at a royal ransome of a price, offering frankly rather little apart from a lot of very over worked people, who need to run faster even year just to stand still.
Time to chat with the plumber again on speed dial, I guess. That in itself a bit of a concern.

Re: Perth Capital Of Cool, Must Visit City
Define a bankster please? Or are you referring to anyone who works for a bank? Because a bankster, or someone who takes your savings (sorry I forgot you have no savings) and tries to make money out of it, accounts for a tiny proportion of the working public. I can assure you, the other people who work in banks, aren't getting 5 and 6 percent pay rises.

I would include the brokers and those in the money game than assisted inappropriate people to access loans through lies and deceit or at best being far too lenient to high risk borrowers, which will end likely bad for the borrower as circumstances change and stress factors impact.
You will note the banking industry concern with calling a Royal Commission into an industry where this should have been done a very long time ago.
Why do you think that is? Ok too hard. The reason being the bank fears a ALP government come next election and they feel far safer conducting it under their tory mates in the Liberal Party. They can as such call their Terms of Reference, which will in fact influence the outcome of findings at the end of the day.
An industry that despises socialism and wary of left leaning governments but feels to big to fail. But not even a 'red face' , accepting a socialist bailout for own created extravagances.
The cost of which the world continues to feel with low rates and ever increasing asset prices and gigantic and dangerous personal debt.
Yet you complain about unions. Simply amazing.

Perth has dropped. You are in negative equity. Bad luck sonny.
I have already made 8%. There's my buffer. I made 1.8% last quarter while property in not so desirable locations lost.
And like you, even if it drops over the next couple of years, I am not in it for the quick flip so its a non issue. Budgets set, rates locked in, cost of turning it into a yummy mummy's panty wetter all accounted for.
European skiing in a few weeks. How does that sit with you and your moth ridden wallet?

Told you lost nothing. Inner burbs more or less held their price and way quids in front as never had a mortgage. Prices still ridiculously expensive in my area, although probably not risen last few years. no real detectable decrease either.
Told you before, so listen up, European ski holidays while may impress your Tasmanian in laws. sounds dreadfully boring to me. Not to say old hat. Who do you really think you impress? Always money and about whom you think you are.
I'm afraid your superficiality fits rather well into the Sydney landscape. Another big negative about the city and reason enough to stay clear of the place.

Re: Perth Capital Of Cool, Must Visit City
Anyway, back on topic. I was down North Fremantle beach, three days ago, While in the water, noticed the shape of a shark, easy to spot, as that particular beach the water is turquoise quite far out. There was quite a few in the water and on the beach, gradually more spotted the shark, not a large one, but it swam ever closer to the beach I was amazed how few left the water.
One group of foreign visitors appeared transfixed by the event, and it was only when the shark was swimming towards a female in the group, did she turn away provoking the shark to do the same.
The shark did not appear to be in anyway aggressive, more curious, but did come remarkably close to a number in the water. Never seen something like that before.
Further down the beach there were kids out with instructor on surf boards, none the wiser, and quite far out from the beach. Rather amazed that the Life Savers didn't sound alarm.....even though small it was big enough to have inflicted some damage, if having the mind to.
How cool is that? Another example of Perth coolness definitely growing in spades.......

My opinion of sharks has always been - if you're in their home and they decide to eat you, tough luck. I did almost change my mind once though.
In my young and bullet proof days, I was swimming a cray pot out to sea off the Lancelin coast. Along with a nice, rotten chunk of meat because crays like that.
I was thinking what a lovely morning it was for a swim, when a large grey shape broke the surface about 4 flipping feet from me.
It was only a dolphin but I think I actually walked on water to get back to shore, and my cossie needed a good wash.
I know none of that has to do with the thread's topic, but it's a nice change..

Indeed so. I'm afraid attempting to shake 'the fleas' contaminating certain posts, mine go somewhat astray during the process.
I suspect the only solution is leave the carriers infested and ignore remedies that may help them and ignore the scratching and stay on theme.
Yes that will be my mode of operation from now on.

I won't get upset promise. You see the difference being is that I fully accept that Perth in the going out social context, is by and large a big ass rip off.

I don't mean the bank tellers, and the lackeys of the bank, they may be just as much victim as the civvies, so don't you go worrying now. Well do but ensure it is for the right reasons. What I mean is in industry that came close to collapsing the entire capitalist system through their greed and ineptness. An industry that has appeared to have learned little and in danger of repeating another tragedy.
I would include the brokers and those in the money game than assisted inappropriate people to access loans through lies and deceit or at best being far too lenient to high risk borrowers, which will end likely bad for the borrower as circumstances change and stress factors impact.

Australia's banking system didn't collapse because the right government measures were in place.
Governments like to create laws. In this case they overlooked a few. I'd be more looking at the incompetence of governments in this case.

You really want to pop the retirement fund of those mums and dads.
I wouldn't expect a Labor MP or their supporters to actually understand the far reaching implications of a Royal Commission.
Banks need to work within the rules. Where they don't they need to be punished. It doesn't take an expensive Royal Commission, which could bring down the banking system to do that.

One day you may get a grip on what you write and make some sense. No wonder why so many loathe bankster suckers shooting from the hip, clueless to the ways of the world.

Really though, the intended purpose is to demonstrate to you that we in Sydney really don't have the issue with money that you make out. We aren't broke, nor battling, nor blaming others. Of course there will be the small percentage at one end that battle, and there will be the filthy rich 2% at the other end too. No different to anywhere else.
We know we pay more of housing but we know we earn more, and we also know we live in the prettiest, most cosmopolitan city in this country. We just get on with things and enjoy.
It's really you that has the issue with money, wealthy people and management. It features in every one of your posts. It really sounds like a sad existence.

As I stated I won't be responding to posts far removed from the title. My fault as much as anyone's for getting too often side tracked on subjects far removed from original title.
I can imagine it being inconsequential to those whom may want to read what it says on the packet. That being matters around Perth, or at least a city theme.
Mods welcome to remove any of my posts unrelated to subject.
I will be looking for bits on Perth only to add for any future inclusion on this thread.
