Default Perth - can you help?

We are planning a validation trip in January to Perth. We are a family of 5 and will be needing to organise some kind of accomodation for the 2 weeks that we are there.

I am sure that we will be doing a lot of driving around so probably out most of the day exploring and researching. Therefore I presume a bed and breakfast might be our best bet or small holiday cottage.

Would be grateful for any recommendations.
Thanks in advance
Theresa
