I am assuming here, and the writer of that post can correct me, but I think it was the comments made with regards to not wanting to make the same mistake by living with asians again.

Probably not the best remark to make. I am playing devils advocate here, but I suppose its like an Australian saying 'I would like to move because I dont want to live near English people'.

I may be wrong, but just a guess.

I looked up their previous posts and have to say Sam, that they only post occassionally and they are not very nice comments. I don't think it had anything to do with the original post at all.

I could be wrong however.

In full agreement that that poster does appear to be a professional knob cheese.

Although, I wouldnt have posted those comments about Asians either as I I have had exactly the same said to me referring to my Arab husband in the lines of 'I wouldnt want to live near arabs' or something similar.

Some things are better left unsaid I suppose.

That is not the same and you know it.

The OP would be pretty pissed off in Australia if some Aussies said 'I dont want to live near English people'.

To say they dont want to make the same mistakes again by living near Asians is not the same as your comment in the slightest.

But then again, I suppose it would be different if it were the other way around and people didnt want to live near her because of her ethnic background.

sorry if that wound you up PP i didnt do it to upset you.

but i do tend to make light of almost any situation
( perhaps its my way of dealing with things )

on a more serious not this can and does happen PP
if your in the minority as the OP was in a predominately Asian area
the OP`s words not mine then i can see why that may make you feel isolated. the OP`s remarks are not necessarily the right way to go about it but i can understand it

in regards to the poster i referred to as troll knob i stand by that remark as i did check all his / her previous posts and the majority are in the same vein
ie personal attacks and nasty, i dont think for one second that poster gave a hoot about what was said but was more interested in winding people up for their own personal kicks ( my opinion )and we dont need need it on this forum

Have to say if I was Asian I`d find the comments offensive - bit like me saying I don`t want to live next to English people (despite the fact that I`ve moved to England to live ) No doubt I`ll be accused of being PC - hey ho :rolleyes:

Like I said, I didn't really take any notice of the first post UNTIL after Sam commented on it. I was not even speaking about the OP. My comment was in reply to Mrs JFW's post on "WTF was that about", which was posted in reply to "Me, Myself & I"'s aggresive post. I was just stating the fact that, that particular poster is a troll IMO.

I am not in any way defending or supporting the original posters comments.
