Great program on the Travel Channel last night - Tasting Australia which is a food and drink tour of Australia series made for overseas countries. This episode was in Perth. It started at Cottesloe Beach, then the Indiana Tea Room, then a Moroccan Restaurant with a witty name 'A Little Moorish Restaurant', views of Kings Park etc, on to 2 Swan Valley wineries and finished up outside Perth at New Norcia Monastery and showed the bakery, hotel, guesthouse etc. All the places looked really good and the sun was shining and the food looked terrific.
It also said that there are people of 270 nationalities living in Perth and that it was perhaps the world's most isolated capital city. Standing on Cottesloe Beach and looking out into the Indian Ocean the presenter said, next stop Mauritius.
I think tonight's program is in Freo.
