Yes, Perth is hell on earth. Whatever you do never come here, even for a holiday.

I won't.

I agree Perth is a shithole.

I do not see why I should be forced to look at dolphins as I come back from work of an evening - I shall have to complain to the council and get them to drain the buggers out of the water.

I hate the politeness of the shop assistants and it makes me sick that our bank have been so accommodating to us - backwards they certainly are. I would like to be put through to an answer machine and not a human as is the case with my bank.

I hate the simplicity of the lifestyle here, I want Indian call centres when I phone companies, not Australian people.

For gods sake, who on earth puts so many cycle routes along the coastal paths to make our lives easier as we cycle? Stupid idea.

Things are too straightforward for me here, my wages are higher, job is better than the UK and I really do not understand why my whole life is easier.

Perth is hell, perth is boring, perth has no culture, perth has no history - ignore its 'own' history - it doesn't count, Perth does not have English pubs, it doesn't have any greenery, the people are too friendly and far too helpful.

Backward bunch of mongrels - the lot of them.

I am leaving, I am booking my flight to get back to the pub culture, the green lush grass, Tescos and the call centres that make customer service calls such a pleasure.

Horrible, just horrible.;)

Thank you Farideh, I am OK - for the moment but if I stay here for much longer than I wont be.

Anything could happen.

You must feel sorry for those of us stuck in this hell hole of friendly people and nasty scenery.

Wish us back to the land of the 'Spotted Bull' type pub where a Sunday afternoon will involve lots of alcohol and pub lunches.

Pray for us.

Why do British people head there? Someone tell me whats so good about the place.

And saying its the lifestyle is not a reason on its own.

If Perth WA is hell on earth, then all I can say is I really must start being a little devil so I can go to hell when I die.

PS. You don't like many places do you joggerfan. Good luck in Valencia, I have lived there and it gets hot.:)

Lots of defensive people on this branch. I was just starting a debate and I am very familiar with Perth and WA.

It is interesting that 99% of the 'returning to the UK branch' are expats coming back from Aus and a good proportion are from Perth! (I am aware that a lot of Brits choose Aus but not 99%)

Of course Perth will suit a lot of people but those seeking somewhere cultural and dynamic need not apply

So, again, have you personally and physically been to Perth then ?

I'm curious if your posts are just more than shit stirring trolling.

Oh - and you havn't yet slagged off a city in the Canadian forum yet. I'm sure you'll get around to it in time.

Well, I for one feel Perth is shite. The excellent friends, jobs, house, scenery, slower paced life and general sense of contentment felt by my family are really starting to get on my nerves.

I know what you mean. The low levels of congestion, drizzle, angry people etc continually bring me down. I so wish Perth was more like Blackpool with the sun:rolleyes:
