yep, she gets no treats, poor hound, the most she gets is left over gravy on her food

is that what you give them over there? obviously, if we cant get james wellbeloved, then we would have to find an alternative, although we struggled in the past to give her something that her stomach/guts like!!

Wish I knew about this before I got one! Only 12 weeks old and currently eating dry puppy food (couple different brands); fresh lamb/chicken bones and home made meatloaf (recipe given by breeder). Poos fine (if you know what I mean!)

The AFFA website says:

Your pet will be fed a nutritionally balanced commercial dog or cat dry food with the main meal.

It is the importers responsibility to provide any special dietary requirements including prescription diets to the Quarantine station for your pet/s if required, please do not send food with your animal/s.

No, it's a UK thing. We used to use Burns organic kibble, but they don't sell that here iether. There's an abundance of *science diets* if you like that type of thing (or your dog does) but we took advantage of the move and an enforced stay in kennels to switch our dog to raw feeding. Best move we ever made as far as he's concerned. So much cheaper and we know exactly what is giong into him. And what comes out is so much easier to deal with, and the flies don't like it half as much.

We feed our Cocker Spaniel Nature's Own food, it seems to actually contain real ingredients and not just preservatives etc It has caused the least problems with his digestive system, the results from pal etc have not been pleasant.

Our cat will only eat raw roo meat that you can get from the supermarket, she even turns her nose up at whiskas these days!
