Question Paying Vac By Credit Card - Problems?

Can anyone help me on this please? I am at the last stage of my application, and I am going on a contributory parents visa. My problem is, I have given my credit card details to DIMIA, but even though I have an ample credit limit and in fact, a small credit balance, my credit card company are refusing it as it is so large. They have given me a phone number for DIMIA to authorize it, but they(DIMIA) won't or can't phone that number. So I am stuck..HELP :scared:

Depends on what the actual issue is. If it's authorisation ie the amount needs to be authorised hence telephone number, then an alternative would be to ask your card company to remove all authorisation limits for 24 hours and request DIMA to use this 24 hour window to process payment. I had to do this - only very slightly risky

Thats a thought, thanks. I am going to call the credit card company again so will discuss this with them. Will post to let you know the results.
