Default Patanoid about speeding but...

Are there roads where near Perth where you can enjoy biking and driving without risking anyone and without getting nicked for puting your foot down a bit?

Cheers,

Marcus.

I think you have written your question incorrectly. What you meant to say was: "Are there roads where near Perth where you can break the law"

No.

You can at the Barbagallo Racetrack (for a fee). There may be others as well.

[I hope you weren't serious about speeding on a normal road?!!! ]

No I chose my words carefully - wihtout risking anyone - no need to be paranoid!

I really don't want to start a debate, as I know how "group think" has gripped a lot of people regarding "making progress".

I just wonder if there are any nice roads near Perth which are lightly used and you can have a chuckle.

To be honest, I have never been anywhere like Perth where people accelerate away from the lights to 100 kph so quickly, surely that must be dangerous!! If only the government trusted the people to behave themselves, but they need the fine money!

Honestly, the question was meant in a balanced way - I love driving and motorcycling.

Best regards,

Marcus.

You don't have to apologise for your question. There are plenty of us about that loathe the way the police operate here with their unethical use of speed cameras.

If only the same level of care was put into making sure that (a) the drivers were taught properly in the first place (b) that kids didn't drive V8s and (c) that cars were actually roadworthy instead of allowed to run for 20-30 years without so much as a check up, we wouldn't have the death tolls on the roads in Qld that we do. But then that wouldn't raise the multi millions every year in revenue would it?
