Just had my agent on the phone, he has the passports back from the High Commission, visas are in them. They are on the way to me this evening!!!

We are using an agent, we sent ours off special delivery with a self adressed envelope !!
Well done though, feels good when you see that pink sticker.
Where are you heading to ? were going to Perth but our house sale is dragging a bit, so cant book our flights yet !

Congratulations! It must be some buzz getting your visa's in? How long did it take you to get your visa's? Trying to gauge approx. timescale from submission to receiving.

almost 2 years till we initally sent our deposit off to our agents. We did stall the application a bit though to allow our daughter to finish her GCSEs this June. Could probably shave about 6-8 months off.

Thanks for reply, we started the process in Aug 05 and TRA is off this week. Do you think we will get the visa's this year and when?

We started our TRA process May 2004 and eventually it got approved Nov 2004, Applied for our Visa's June 2005, Meds and Police checks requested and sent October 2005 we got the visas 1st Feb. Ours was an awkward case, But worth the wait and worry. Good luck with your application

loneranger, it depends on what visa type you are, and whether you are on the MODL list. let us know these two things and somebody might be able to help you.

Ahhhhhhhhhhh but guess what!! we have booked our tickets 10 minutes ago, flying emirates via dubai/singapore 21st day of June from Manchester. Talk about the longest day of the year, it definately will be. All done now only the furniture move to organise .
