Default Passports & Citizenship

Just applying for citizenship [ damn missed getting in before the test ! ]

For those lucky new Aussies already through this - do you know when you apply and get citizenship do you get a passport at the same time or do you have to apply afterwards?

You apply afterwards and it costs another $200.

Do you have to get a passport in a certain time frame or can you carry on using your UK one, just a thought as I have 7 years on mine.

Once you gain citizenship you are Australian and your PR visa is cancelled. This would of course make coming back into Australia very difficult. So thats probably the best reason to get one.
