As you haven't validated yet you'll need to inform your CO of your new passport numbers which means getting certified copies of the new BIO page(s).

You can do it now. Put in a covering letter explaining your circumstances, they will add up to 9 months of the remaining time left from your old passport(s) and follow these instructions to the letter.

As the new passport(s) won't have a visa sticker in it, do this:

1. SE04 Application form completed in black ink, capital letters.
2. Sections 1,2,3 and 9 (Section 6 if applicable) need to be completed.
3. Section 9 to be signed by either parent if married, if not only mother can sign unless father also has legal responsibility. When a document showing parental responsibility is required, the document must accompany the application, no matter what the type, including renewal.
4. Section 10 may need to be countersigned if applicant's features have changed.
5. 2 photographs on a white, cream, light grey background. (1 certified at the back true likeness of applicant if features changed)
6. If the child's name has changed you must contact the advise line on 0870 521 0410.
7. Fee of £25.
8. Current undamaged passport.

Just for info, if your old passport(s) did have a visa sticker in it/them, you will need to do this:

VALID VISA EXPIRED PASSPORT

If you are renewing a passport, which includes a Visa that is needed for travel purposes, you can request that the Visa page is not cancelled: This applies to both an expired passport and one where all the pages are full.

a) Send passport in for a renewal
b) Include a covering letter to state that there is a visa on page.. that it is needed for travel.
c) The Examiner should cancel the passport by cutting the front and back covers, and the bio details page if a PASS issue. Once cancelled the passport is no longer valid for travel, but this may not stop a foreign country permitting entry to a person who holds a valid visa in a cancelled passport
d) You will receive a new passport back valid for travel as well as the old passport, provided previous passport is not damaged.
e) you must then contact the Embassy of the Country that the Visa was issued by and ask if they are able to travel with a valid passport with no Visa and a cancelled/expired passport that has the visa (Page not cancelled).
f) You will not be allowed to travel on the expired passport, and so if entry is agreed it means that you will have to carry two passports.
g) If Embassy does not accept this, you will need to make arrangements for a new visa.

UKPS do not transfer visas over to new passports.

If you wish to renew them in Australia, look here.

Bit more expensive I believe.

After you have renewed over there pop into your local DIMIA office and they will put a new visa sticker in your new passport(s)

Regards

Rich
